Pat Bay Air operates from convenient locations on southern Vancouver Island. We have a main base at Pat Bay Seaplane Base on the Saanich Peninsula adjacent to Victoria International Airport, and sub bases at Victoria’s Inner Harbour in downtown Victoria and Shawnigan Lake Marina servicing the Mill Bay, Cowichan Bay and Shawnigan Lake areas.  We can fly you to any water accessible location on Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, or the Sunshine Coast. Whether it’s up the west coast of Vancouver Island to Tofino and the Pacific Rim National Park, across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Airport, or to one of the many Gulf Islands, Pat Bay Air provides the service.

Pat Bay Air has three different floatplanes to suit your individual requirements:

DeHavilland Beaver:

Noted for its rugged dependability and exceptional performance, the Beaver has long been the favourite aircraft for providing transport along the west coast. Our DeHavilland Beaver comfortably seats six passengers with audio headsets for all guests. The plane is equipped with modified windows for panoramic viewing and photography.

Cessna 185:

For smaller groups of up to three passengers we can provide our Cessna 185 floatplane. A favourite of bushplane operations due to its rugged construction and speed, you will find our 185 a comfortable floatplane for short hops or longer trips. With leather seats and a new, quiet interior, you can relax and enjoy the flight

Cessna 172:

The most popular airplane ever built, the Cessna 172 on floats is a perfect floatplane for one passenger charters, and especially economical for limited baggage short hops in the southern Gulf Islands. It features a panoramic all-around view with windows all around.
